Our story
Born from a simple belief: no one should be left without care.
Karuna Seva Sadan was founded in 1994 by M. S. Kameswari Dave, a well-known social worker, and T. L. Babu, a senior journalist. It is registered with the Registrar of Societies in Hyderabad.
Our work covers all kinds of social service: medical camps for the poor and needy, cultural promotion, employment and youth empowerment, awards for social workers and artists, art, literature and language programmes, and rural development.
We have held more than 4,000 medical camps with free medicines, staged over 200 cultural programmes, and helped more than 4,500 children from poor families. We have given medical kits, artificial limbs and tricycles to people with disabilities, and supported COVID-19 relief and people living with HIV in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.
Our mission
To serve the poor and needy through healthcare, education, cultural promotion, employment and rural development, without any distinction of caste, creed, race or gender.
Our vision
A society where every person, whether a child in school, an elder at home or a family in a village, lives with health, dignity and opportunity, and where service brings the nation together.
